The Mainship 47 Motor Yacht features a large, uncluttered flybridge with plentiful seating and storage. Wide molded fiberglass steps replace the standard ladders on the 47, offering safety and comfort. Aft deck wing doors along with oversize handrails and raised toe rails add to safety. Below deck you will find custom cabinetry, thick pile carpeting and the finest in fabrics. A spacious salon, workable galley, easy to maintain heads and truly comfortable staterooms with centerline queen berths are incorporated to provide good flow and the most usable space afloat. Mainship motor yachts, then part of the Luhrs marine group, was dedicated to bringing the best in design, comfort safety and reliability. Mainship's manufacturing processes include fabrication on-site of many components such as hard tops, rails, furniture and wiring, providing a high-quality finished yacht.

With her distinctive appearance (note the unusual window treatment and
aggressive bridge overhang), the Mainship 47 is a contemporary
motoryacht design that came with a good deal of
standard equipment. She rides on a beamy, modified-V hull
with cored hullsides and a moderate 15 degrees of transom
deadrise. Originally offered with three staterooms, an alternate
floorplan introduced in 1993 has two staterooms with
the galley and dining area aft in the salon and a small office/
communications center forward. The salon is very spacious
and so is the forward stateroom, but the aft cabin (and the
aft deck above) is small for a boat this size. A utility room
housing the washer/dryer and workbench is forward of the
engineroom. Additional features include an underwater exhaust
system, foredeck sun pad and light oak interior woodwork.
Twin 485hp 6-71s cruise the Mainship 47 MY in the
low 20s and reach a top speed of about 25 knots.
